About

Join the Mile High United Way team to celebrate International Women's Day by coming together (while 6 feet apart) to support our community and to celebrate some amazing women in Denver history. We want to volunteer with the strongest community advocates we know -- you!

We will meet at Frances Wisebart Jacobs Park in SE Denver to do some mulching, debris removal, and other park projects. We will share a little bit about Frances Wisebart Jacob's legacy as a founder of the United Way movement, and share other women who inspire and uplift us every day. We look forward to celebrating this important day with fierce women who are working to make our community more equitable for all.

Schedule:
9:00-9:15: Check-in/Welcome
9:15-12: Projects
12-12:30: Wrap-Up/Group Picture

The project will be cancelled only in the event of severely inclement weather. Denver Parks & Recreation will monitor the weather, and make the decision one day prior to the project to postpone if necessary.

Consider wearing your Live United or company volunteer shirt, or something purple or green in honor of International Women's Day! The Mile High United Way team will provide masks and hand sanitizer to all volunteers.
